Research Safety
The Office of Research Safety听听provides guidance to UGA faculty, staff, and students on the safe use of chemical agents, radiation safety, and laser safety. The program is committed to safety, health, environmental protection, and compliance based on current government regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
The office also works closely with UGA鈥檚 on such issues as environmental safety and compliance, hazardous waste, fire safety, occupational safety, and other areas.
Reporting an Incident
- For minor incidents听that occur during normal business hours and听do not involve injury or property damage, please contact Research Safety at听706-542-5288.
- For major incidents,听incidents that occur outside of normal business hours, or that involve injury or property damage, call 911. Any injuries should be reported to Human Resources at the following link:
