The ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø is committed to protecting the rights, welfare and privacy of individuals who participate in research activities conducted by the university. The fully accredited Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) is a university-wide program under the Office of Research. UGA conducts human subject research under a registered Federal-Wide Assurance with the Office of Human Research Protections, #00003901 (expiration: 7/17/2029)

Trying to contact the IRB or HRPP Office?
If you are a participant with questions or concerns about your rights, or a researcher reporting an adverse event or problem with an active project, call 706-542-3199 or email IRB@uga.edu.
If you are a researcher with an active (approved) research project who has questions (e.g., how to modify/amend, how to close), review guidance under “Post Approval & Reporting” or add a Public Comment on the project workspace in the portal. Add Public Comment sends an email to the IRB staff to alert us that you need help.
If you are an external institution seeking to negotiate a cooperative research agreement, send an email to IRB@uga.edu with subject line “Attention Reliance Manager”.
